Samira Ren is 9 months old — a bright, smiley girl who lights up every room, especially when she spots an exit sign.

After noticing subtle but concerning symptoms, we brought her to the ER where doctors found her heart pushed to the side and her lung compressed by fluid. That night, she underwent emergency surgery to drain over 300 mL from her chest.

Further imaging revealed the cause — a very large abstract abdominal mass blocking her lymphatic system. After days of procedures, testing, and waiting, Samira was diagnosed with Stage 4 Intermediate Risk Neuroblastoma.

She has already at the tail end of Cycle 1 of chemotherapy, and we are taking this one step at a time.
